Alfred Schwarz Kunststoffe is founded by Alfred Schwarz. The first product: Mipofolie, an innovative protective film for geographical maps and technical drawings.

Following the death of Alfred Schwarz, his wife Gertrud and son Hanspeter take over the management of the family business. Expansion of the product range with Mipofolie Colour and Folioplast, a protective book binding film.

Rudolf Schwarz joins the family business to jointly manage it with Hanspeter, his brother. Mipofix, an adhesive decoration film in a variety of designs, conquers the DIY and arts & crafts markets.
